Following a June 27 water contamination in Rimersburg, local volunteers, emergency crews, and businesses quickly responded to support residents.
A chemical identified as sodium bisulfite entered the East Brady Borough Water System, prompting a “do not drink or boil” advisory, later downgraded to a boil notice. Community members donated and distributed bottled water, with help from businesses.
Clarion County officials praised the swift, coordinated response.
Residents are still advised to boil water before use until further notice
