Ronald D. Humble, 74 of Punxsutawney, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born October 4, 1950 in Punxsutawney to Ira C. and Nina (Gardner) Humble.
Ron graduated from Jeff Tech in 1970. He was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department. Ron worked 50 years for Zorko’s in Plumville and he enjoyed teaching and mentoring the owners’ grandchildren who loved him dearly. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. Ron enjoyed gardening, mowing, and watching Gaither Gospel videos, Jeopardy and YouTube videos. He loved spending time with his family, especially hosting the Smith family reunion.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan (Smith) Humble, Punxsutawney, three sons: Eric M. Humble and wife Betsy, Sligo, Timothy W. Humble, East Earl, and Scott A. Humble, Punxsutawney, two brothers: John Humble and David Humble and wife Betty, Hamilton, two sisters: Gayle Williams and Lois Adams and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Kromer and Emily Grube.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 2pm until the time of the service at 4pm with Pastor Ed Bach officiating at McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
