The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has scheduled more than 35 programs highlighting the partnership with Girl Scouts USA and several state parks, and one of them is coming to Yellow Creek State Park in Indiana County.
This Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., scouts are invited to join park educators for an evening of wildlife activities, including learning how to identify mammals, fish and birds. It will also include a wildlife hike where scouts will learn about different tracks, tree rubs, and other markings.
This program is for individual scouts and not for troops. Space is limited so scouts age nine and older and chaperones can preregister at the DCNR website.
