A 19-year-old Boalsburg man, Steven Christopher McGovern, has been charged with multiple felonies, including first-degree felony rape of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, and incest.
According to a criminal complaint, McGovern allegedly sexually abused a minor, with the investigation beginning earlier this year. The victim identified McGovern during a forensic interview, describing multiple acts of abuse. McGovern admitted to several incidents but denied full intercourse.
He is being held on $100,000 bail, with a preliminary hearing set for Sept. 10.
