At the Big Run Borough Council meeting on Monday, discussions focused on lawn mowing bids and putting the chain link fence back up at the main ball field.
In today’s Punxsutawney Spirit, Council member Elijah Hollopeter mentioned that businesses were eager to bid on lawn mowing for the Ball Diamond and War Memorial. Meanwhile, Council President George Bedell noted that the baseball league was supposed to reinstall the fence. However, Council Member Blair Kriner reported that damage to the field, including attempts to remove home plate and the pitcher’s mound, delayed the process.
The borough is still waiting for the fence to be put back up.
