A child of 29-year-old, Amber Grace Jaeger, and 42-year-old, Raymond Matthew Nestlerode, was found unresponsive on January 11, suspected of choking.
ExploreJeffersonPa.com is reporting that tests revealed fentanyl in the child’s system, and medical intervention saved the child’s life. Jaeger pleaded guilty to felony child endangerment and received up to nearly two years in jail, while Nestlerode was sentenced to up to two years in prison.
The child’s grandmother revealed ongoing abuse and the six-year-old sister’s role in saving the boy’s life. The home was found to contain drug paraphernalia, and both parents admitted to drug use.
