From July 8 to August 18, the Sandy Township and DuBois City Police Departments will join the Pennsylvania State Police and over 300 municipal agencies in a targeted aggressive-driving enforcement campaign. According to GantNews.Com, this initiative aims to reduce crashes, injuries, and deaths caused by aggressive driving.
Focus areas include heavy truck violations, pedestrian safety, red light running, and tailgating. Aggressive drivers will be ticketed. The campaign is part of Pennsylvania’s Highway Safety Program, funded by federal funds from the NHTSA through PennDOT.
