People with autism in Pennsylvania have a new option for when they have to speak with the police.
The Pennsylvania State Police now have information cards for autistic people. The cards explain that this person is autistic, and may be non-verbal, or have trouble with loud noises, and may be very sensitive to being touched. The cards tell troopers to be mindful, keep their questions short and simple, and to be hands-off if they can.
You can find a printable copy of the cards at the State Police’s website.
