Authorities released more information to ExploreClarion.com about the structure fire that happened in Clarion last week.
Emergency responders, including Clarion Borough Police, Clarion Hospital EMS, and Clarion Fire & Hose Company No. 1, were called to 1099 East Main Street around 2 p.m. on June 12. According to Assistant Fire Chief Mike Chesterfield, the fire was due to an electrical short in a light ballast, causing smoke but no flames. Firefighters turned off the power, disconnected the light, and informed a property maintenance employee on site.
There were no injuries, and the scene was cleared by 2:49 p.m.
