Several building improvement projects were approved at Tuesday night’s United School Board meeting.
The board approved contracts with EberHVAC for the HVAC at the United elementary, high school and administrative offices for $1.245 million; Hallstrom Clark Electric for the electrical part of the HVAC project at $86,000; Marmat, Inc. to replace entrances, concrete restoration and forced entry window glazing at the Junior-Senior High building at a cost of $489,159, along with plaster repairs, stage extension and other repairs to the Junior-Senior High auditorium at a cost of $287,700; and to T.P. Electric to fix the auditorium and stage lights at a cost of $159,200.
Superintendent Dr. Richard Lucas said that the projects will be worked on while students and staff are out of the building for summer break.
