Mail-in voting in Pennsylvania will have a fresh look this spring in the Primary election with a newly-designed ballot which is intended to reduce mistakes.
Mail-in voters will receive a ballot in an envelope with a blue stripe, and inside it they will find instructions and visual aids. After filling out their ballot, they will put it in a yellow “secrecy” enclosure and place it inside a return envelope that has a purple stripe on it.
This year’s Primary Election is on April 23rd. Applications for a mail-in ballot must be received by the county elections office by 5 PM on April 16th. Completed ballots must be received by April 23rd at 8 PM.
