Officials with Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium are warning customers about a scam that promises to give away discounted tickets on social media.
In a Facebook post, officials say a scam is affecting zoos across the nation, in which a social media post falsely promises to sell four tickets to customers at a discounted rate. In some cases, the asking price is less than $7. Customers are reminded that any information regarding discounted tickets will come directly from the Pittsburgh Zoo’s official website, and to not click any links or give any personal information.
