The Westmoreland County Coroner’s office has identified the victim in the fatal crash on Monday as 49-year-old Regina Endress of Josephine.
Coroner Tim Carson said that she was driving north on Route 217 in Derry Township, Westmoreland County when her car collided with a van head-on. A child in the car with her was taken by medical helicopter to a hospital in Pittsburgh.
She reportedly was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.
