The Jeff Tech Joint Operating Committee received a presentation from Penn Highlands Director of Telemedicine, Angela Rhodes, during their Monday meeting.
The Punxsutawney Spirit reports, Rhodes shared the slow evolution of telemedicine over seven years and detailed the successful implementation of a USDA Telemedicine grant in the Brockway Area School District. The program offers both medical and behavioral health telemedicine, with consent forms allowing parents to enroll their students.
The platform enables parents to join telemedicine visits from any location, facilitating thorough examinations through in-home cameras.
