DuBois City Council, during their recent meeting, made significant changes, including a decision to terminate elected officials’ healthcare.
According to WTAJ News, Councilwoman Jennifer Jackson emphasized transparency, expressing a commitment to involve the public in decision-making. The vote to end healthcare benefits was 4-1, with projected savings of about $62,000 annually.
Other agenda items included water and sewer upgrades, with an $83 million sewage treatment plant construction underway, set to be completed by the end of 2024.
