A car crash involving a bear occurred on Interstate 80 East in Clearfield County, as reported by Pennsylvania State Police in DuBois.
The encounter took place on November 11 around 9:33 p.m., near the 104 mile marker. Anthony Costa, a 56-year-old from Boalsburg, PA, was driving east when a bear entered the road from the median area and collided with his 2015 Chevrolet Express.
The front end of the vehicle suffered significant damage. Thankfully, Costa was wearing his seatbelt and emerged from the accident unharmed. Emergency medical services were notified but Costa didn’t require transportation to the hospital.
