Southern Airways recently moved their training facility to the DuBois area.
In a WJAC News report, Captain David Duvak, a former employee, expressed concerns about the airline’s safety practices and discrepancies in pay between captains and co-pilots. Clearfield County Commissioner Dave Glass became involved due to a controversy surrounding a news article about the situation. As a licensed pilot, Glass personally investigated the allegations and left the facility feeling confident in their safety measures.
Glass also consulted with the FAA and was satisfied with the safety records reported by the agency.
