A member of the Reynoldsville Borough Council, John Chesnalavich Jr., has been charged by state police for allegedly spying on a 19 year old woman.
The incident was brought to the attention of authorities through an invasion of privacy complaint earlier this month. Police discovered that Chesnalavich had installed a camera in the wall of his bedroom closet, providing him with a full view of the bathroom. The victim, a 19-year-old relative of Chesnalavich, expressed feeling violated after learning about the hidden camera.
Chesnalavich ultimately admitted to spying on the teen multiple times. He now faces a misdemeanor charge of invasion of privacy.
