At a recent DuBois City Council meeting, concerned citizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the possibility of using public funds to buy out former city manager John Herm Suplizio’s contract.
WTAJ News reports, Suplizio was previously arrested for allegedly stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Residents urged the council not to proceed with the buyout, citing Suplizio’s mismanagement of funds. The estimated amount the reports adds is between $157,846.20 and $258,269.
The council members had differing opinions on whether to proceed with the buyout.
