From Pennsylvania State Police, Punxsutawney Barracks
On 02/18/23, at 1915 hours, Trooper Elliott Neeper was conducting stationary patrol at 687 S. Main St., Cherry Tree Borough, Indiana County, when he observed a UTV traveling south on SR219.
Trooper Neeper activated his emergency lights and siren, at which time the vehicle began to flee. Trooper Neeper was able to almost immediately obtain a vehicle description and registration and terminate the pursuit. The UTV turned off the road, onto a trail, and out of sight.
It was determined that a juvenile was the operator of the vehicle and will be interviewed at a later date, in the presence of his parents.
