With snow in the forecast, state transportation officials are encouraging motorists to proceed with caution.
PennDOT and the Turnpike Commission advise people to avoid travel during the height of the storm, but if they must to reduce speeds and be aware of changing weather conditions.
Here’s a report from Accuweather:
Before hitting the road its recommended people check 511PA.com for the latest on road conditions and vehicle restrictions. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling near operating plow trucks. They’re also reminded that state law requires them to clean snow and/or ice from their vehicles within 24 hours after the conclusion of a storm.
