A Clarion Borough Police filed criminal charges against 60-year-old Steven Lee Hollingsworth of Clarion after he allegedly threatened to put a woman “six feet under.”
According to a criminal complaint, the victim reported that Hollingsworth contacted her via phone and threatened her in early September and threatened her.
She said it was all about Hollingsworth’s “obsession” with a known female that was at her residence. The victim told investigators, the object of the obsession had been staying with Hollingsworth some, as she had just moved here from another state, and Hollingsworth allegedly became extremely possessive of the female, and thus the threats.
That woman was present and told police that she was afraid of Hollingsworth and that she would not go back and stay with him. She also showed Officers a text from Hollingsworth that was sent on August 1.
Then back in late September, police got digital copies of the voicemail messages Hollingsworth had left. That’s when the woman told police there was an additional voicemail from Hollongsworth.
According to the complaint, the message stated, among other things that: “I’ll have you put six feet under. I still keep in contact with all my penitentiary buddies. They’d be glad to get rid of you for me.”
Charges were filed against Hollingsworth in Magisterial District court. He’s charged with 3 counts each of terroristic threats and harassment.
A preliminary arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow with Judge Quinn presiding.
