A 22-year-old man avoided injury after a trailer detached from his pickup truck and caused a crash in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Devin J. Gray of Patton was driving a 1998 Ford F-150 on Route 36 in Newburg Borough on April 3 when an equipment failure at the hitch caused the trailer to break loose and strike the rear of the truck. The vehicle then left the roadway, hitting a road sign and a tree before coming to rest across both lanes of La Jose Road.
Police said Gray was wearing a seatbelt and was not hurt.
