A 24-year-old Kane man is facing felony charges after Pennsylvania State Police say he posed as the owner of a local paving company to obtain a $4,000 cash deposit for work in Rose Township.
ExploreJeffersonPa.Com is reporting, Bryent Wayne Johnson allegedly misled the victim into believing he represented PV Paving and Concrete, LLC, when he was actually performing the job independently. Investigators said only minimal work was completed, and the victim reported he would not have agreed to the project had he known the true circumstances.
Johnson is charged with theft by deception and deceptive business practices and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 10.
