On Friday In District 9 Baseball, Brookville edged out Brockway 6–5, while DuBois secured a narrow 6–5 victory over Elk County Catholic. Punxsutawney displayed strong offense in a 12–6 win against DuBois Central Catholic; however, several other matchups, including Kane at St. Marys and Johnsonburg at Curwensville, were postponed. In a high-scoring District 9/10 Crossover, Lakeview dominated Clarion-Limestone with a 22–8 victory in six innings.
The District 9 Softball circuit featured a dominant 31–6 three-inning performance by St. Marys over Kane, while DuBois Central Catholic defeated Punxsutawney 10–4. Brockway also secured a shortened 14–4 win over Brookville in five innings. In crossover softball play, Central Clarion managed to outlast Lakeview in an 11–9 thriller, though the matchup between Forest Area and Rocky Grove was pushed back to May.
