A 41-year-old Corsica man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly shutting off natural gas service to four homes during a payment dispute, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
ExploreJeffersonPa.Com reports, Clinton Brady Stout is accused of cutting a lock at a gas metering station along McGill Road on Jan. 8 and closing a valve that disrupted service and heat to nearby residences. Police said the action created a potentially dangerous condition by altering pipeline pressure and increasing the risk of explosion or rupture.
Stout allegedly admitted to shutting off the valve and placing his own lock on it, claiming he believed it only affected his property. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing April 23.
