State police in Punxsutawney charged a former employee of a Bell Township oil and lube shop with felony criminal trespass after investigators say he used a key and safe code to enter the business after hours.
ExploreJeffersonPa.Com reports, Coty Lee Ireland, 33, is accused of entering Groundhog Instant Lube and Oil around 4 a.m. on Oct. 23, 2024, and opening a locked safe, though police said nothing was taken and there were no signs of forced entry. Authorities said surveillance video and the suspect’s prior access to the code linked him to the incident.
Court records show the charge was filed Feb. 5, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 5 before Jacqueline J. Mizerock in Punxsutawney.
