A federal judge has ordered the defense team for former DuBois City Manager Herm Suplizio to respond by March 20 to a prosecution motion seeking to disqualify one of his attorneys over a potential conflict of interest.
WTAJ News reports, Prosecutors argue that attorney William Shaw Jr. should be removed from the case because he also represents former DuBois Police Chief Blaine Clark, who is expected to testify at Suplizio’s trial.
The court will review the defense’s filing before deciding whether to hold a hearing on Shaw’s continued participation in the case.
