An arctic front is expected to sweep through the region this evening, bringing snow showers, possible snow squalls and dangerous travel conditions, forecasters said.
Snowfall totals are expected to be around 2-4 inches with wind gusts up to 50 mph could cause blowing and drifting snow and sharply reduced visibility, especially in higher elevations.
Winter Storm Watches have been issued for much of our area and an Extreme Cold Watch is also in effect for Saturday, with wind chills forecast to plunge between minus 20 and minus 30 degrees
