A 39-year-old Venus man is in custody after allegedly breaking into a Pinegrove Township home while impaired and later being found nude in a field.
ExploreVanango.Com, reports the incident began around 1:17 a.m. Feb. 1 when a homeowner reported an intruder inside his residence after hearing a vehicle crash nearby. The suspect, identified as Willard Wesley Whitton, allegedly fled the home, removed his clothing and drove off in a pickup truck before crashing again in Tidioute, where police found him sitting naked in his vehicle and sounding the horn.
Whitton, who police said admitted using cocaine, was charged with burglary, DUI and other offenses and was jailed in Venango County after failing to post $250,000 bail.
