Two volunteer firefighters were released from the hospital after their fire engine slid on icy roads and crashed into a tree while responding to a house fire Thursday morning.
According to WTAJ News, The BJW Volunteer Fire Company truck went off the road on a hill in Broadford Township, pinning the driver inside before other crews helped free them. Both the driver and a passenger were treated for injuries and later released. The house fire, caused by an electric heater, resulted in no injuries and only minor damage.
Authorities urged motorists to use caution in winter conditions.
