Two people are facing felony burglary charges in Jefferson County after Pennsylvania State Police say DNA from a cigarette butt left at the scene linked them to a garage break-in.
According to ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, Investigators charged Steven Allen Frampton, 32, of Ridgway, and Alexis Brianne Shenk, 26, of Reynoldsville, in connection with a December 2020 burglary at a detached garage in Oliver Township, where numerous tools were stolen. Police say DNA evidence matched both suspects through a national database, and subsequent searches recovered stolen property.
Frampton remains jailed on $25,000 bail, while Shenk was released on unsecured bail; preliminary hearings are scheduled for Jan. 27.
