A Clearfield County man is jailed on $25,000 bail after police say he assaulted officers during a disturbance at a truck stop earlier this week.
According to WJAC News, Authorities allege Christopher Mayhew of Olanta caused a brawl inside the Sapp Brothers truck stop along the Clearfield-Shawville Highway early Thursday, attacking and threatening officers who responded to reports of damaged merchandise and attempted theft. Police say Mayhew resisted arrest, head-butted one officer, spit on another and made repeated threats to have the officers harmed.
Court records show he is charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated assault, assault of law enforcement, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
