Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a cruelty-to-animals case in Clearfield County after a small beagle was found severely beaten and abandoned in the woods, troopers said.
The dog was discovered Jan. 10 at the end of Rabbit Hill Road near Punkin Ridge Road, wrapped in blankets and left in a wooded area.
The investigation is ongoing.
