After two years of delays, former DuBois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio could face trial this spring on federal charges accusing him and a former city employee of stealing more than $1.5 million in public funds.
According to a Spotlight PA article, U.S. District Judge Stephanie Haines recently denied defense requests for more detailed information about the allegations and said she will set a trial date for late spring or early summer.
Suplizio and former secretary Roberta Shaffer have pleaded not guilty to theft and money laundering charges.
