A Rockton man has been sentenced to state prison for strangling a woman during a domestic assault.
GantNews.Com reports, Everardo Ricardo Arredondo III, 38, pleaded guilty to felony strangulation and simple assault and was ordered by President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman to serve one to nine years in state prison.
According to court documents, police said Arredondo attacked the victim in March, repeatedly strangling and striking her in front of her children before she was able to escape. He was also ordered to pay more than $1,000 in restitution and attend counseling.
