State police say a Clarion woman escaped injury when her SUV struck a guide rail after swerving to avoid a deer on Interstate 80 in Jefferson County.
The crash happened around 8:17 a.m. Oct. 28 near mile marker 75.4. Troopers say 70-year-old Robyn D. Nixon was eastbound in a 2016 Subaru Forester when the deer entered the roadway. Her vehicle hit the guide rail and came to rest on the shoulder.
Police say Nixon was wearing a seat belt.
