Pennsylvania voters decided high-stakes judicial races and retention votes in Tuesday’s Municipal Election, most notably affirming three sitting justices of the state Supreme Court for new terms, allowing them to remain on the state’s highest court for another 10 years.
Their retention preserves the current 5-2 balance of the court, which often decides major cases involving election law, redistricting, and legislative power.
Voters also filled several open seats on the intermediate Superior and Commonwealth Courts as part of the statewide judicial slate.
