Attorney Josh Maines, a Democrat, defeated Republican District Attorney Ryan P. Sayers on Tuesday to become the next Judge of the Court of Common Pleas, succeeding retiring President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman, who was first elected in 1994.
Maines will serve a 10-year term.
According to the Clearfield County Election Central website, voter turnout was 44.82% among the county’s 49,506 registered voters.
