The PIAA released the 2025 girls volleyball state playoff brackets, with several District 9 teams set to compete in the first round Tuesday night. In Class 1A, Clarion will face Eden Christian at Avonworth High School at 7:30 p.m. In Class 3A action, DuBois will take on Beaver Area at 6 p.m.

Several local teams advanced in district playoff action Friday night. In Class 1A, Union/A-C Valley topped Cameron County 42-12, Redbank Valley defeated Ridgway 51-19, and Keystone rolled past Kane 56-7. In Class 2A, Central Clarion cruised past Perry 56-8 at Varischetti Field in Brockway. Clearfield shut out USO 14-0 in the Class 4A semifinals at Brookville, while DuBois powered past Mifflin County 48-21 in the Class 5A bracket.
