PennWest officials have confirmed that staff furloughs are planned at the university’s Clarion campus but declined to say how many employees will be affected or which departments are involved.
The university said it has notified the AFSCME union of its intent to invoke furlough provisions under the collective bargaining agreement but offered no further details, citing personnel confidentiality.
