The Clearfield County Prison Board is weighing how to use more than $500,000 from the county’s share of the national opioid settlement.
GantNews.Com is reporting, during Tuesday’s meeting, officials discussed potential uses including injectable addiction treatments, hiring case managers, and funding awareness programs. One proposal involves creating a county drug court, while another would pilot a monthly injectable treatment for inmates instead of daily oral medication.
The board plans to revisit the issue next month with input from the Clearfield-Jefferson Drug and Alcohol Commission.
