Clearfield Regional Police have identified the man involved in Tuesday night’s standoff on Turnpike Avenue as 52-year-old Stephen J. McLaughlin, who barricaded himself inside his home when officers arrived to serve a drug-related search warrant.
WJAC News reports McLaughlin eventually surrendered without injuries, and a search of the residence turned up three handguns. He is currently facing drug charges, though it remains unclear if additional charges will be filed in connection with the standoff or firearms.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, and nearby roads were closed for several hours before the area was cleared.
