A Venango County school bus driver is facing charges after allegedly punishing elementary students by turning the bus heater on full blast and telling them, “I am going to cook you all.”
Sugarcreek Borough Police say 75-year-old Harvey Sliker of Utica ordered children to close the windows on September 17 before cranking the heat despite outside temperatures in the mid-70s, leaving students crying and overheating. The report states the cabin could have reached 95 to 100 degrees, and Sliker also threatened to bring a paddle the next day.
Sliker has been charged with misdemeanor counts of simple assault and reckless endangerment, and has been barred from school property.
