A Clarion man is facing charges after state police say he returned to a South 5th Avenue property he had been told to avoid.
According to court documents, 58-year-old Robert Charles Liston was charged September 17, 2025, with one count of defiant trespass (Misdemeanor 3). Police said Liston was spotted at the residence on September 4, knocking on a tenant’s door. The landlord later told troopers that both he and police had previously warned Liston to stay off all of his South 5th Avenue properties. The tenant confirmed to police she saw Liston at her door and told him to leave. Liston denied being at the property when questioned.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 16, 2025, before Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill.
