Charges have been withdrawn against a Mount Carmel man who was accused of assaulting and threatening a woman with a revolver after a night out at a Forest County bar.
Court records show 33-year-old Jeremy Scott Sala had all charges—including aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and simple assault—dropped on Sept. 4 in Judge Daniel L. Miller’s office. The charges stemmed from an Aug. 15 incident in which police alleged Sala pulled a gun on the woman while she drove, struck and bit her, and threatened to kill her and her family.
Sala was initially held on $50,000 bail at Warren County Prison before being released on unsecured bail on Aug. 26.
