One person was injured in a crash involving a car and a horse and buggy in South Mahoning Township on Monday.
State police from the Punxsutawney Barracks were sent to Pearce Road near Rossmoyne Road around 6:58 PM on August 18th. Troopers say a car driven by 67-year-old Randall Rankin of Sagamore was going South on Pearce Road and crossed the center line, striking a horse and buggy driven by a 16-year-old Smicksburg boy.
The boy was ejected from his vehicle and the buggy was detached from the horse.
The young victim went to Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries.
