A Clarion man already facing assault charges involving the same woman is accused of stealing nearly $2,000 from her, police said.
According to court documents, 27-year-old Ronald Paul Texter allegedly forged a $1,949 DraftKings check and transferred the funds to himself through Cash App while the victim didn’t have access to her phone. Police say he also left a note saying, “Thanks 4 the moolah.”
Texter faces multiple theft and forgery charges and remains in Clarion County Jail on $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 19.
