A Falls Creek man is facing a felony charge after reportedly entering a home he believed was abandoned and jumping from a second-story window to avoid being caught.
State Police in DuBois say 20-year-old James Curtis Hutchins admitted to going inside a Taylor Avenue residence “to explore” on June 30. A witness working at the home saw Hutchins fall from the second floor and alerted police.
Hutchins was charged with felony criminal trespass. He was unable to post $20,000 bail and is being held in Jefferson County Jail. A preliminary hearing is set for July 15.
