Seven people have been charged in a drug trafficking investigation involving methamphetamine and fentanyl in five north-central Pennsylvania counties.
Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that 31-year-old Benjamin Simms of Coudersport is accused of trafficking 30 to 40 pounds of meth from New York. He and Kyle Brown of Emporium allegedly worked together, while five others operated independently. All face felony charges including possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy. Simms is jailed at SCI-Forest, and Brown is in McKean County Prison on $50,000 bail.
The Attorney General’s Office and local law enforcement led the investigation. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
